Gov. Jim Pillen declares Friday as Nebraska Missing Persons Day

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Gov. Jim Pillen declared Friday as Nebraska Missing Persons Day.

A nonprofit – GINA for Missing Persons FOUNDation – was at the State Capitol for the proclamation signing.

The nonprofit was founded after Gina Bos went missing nearly 23 years ago in downtown Lincoln.

Officials hope this day brings awareness to families of missing people.

The nonprofit also wants other states to make similar proclamations in the near future.

More information can be found on the Nebraska State Patrol’s website.
