LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) —Governor Jim Pillen ordered both U.S. and Nebraska flags to be flown at half-staff until sunset this Friday.
It’s in solidarity with victims and families of the wildfires in Maui.
The official death toll from the wildfires is now well over 100, with possibly more than 1,000 people still missing.
Search and rescue teams continue to sweep the burn zone as the magnitude of the loss becomes more clear.
