Gov. Jim Pillen thanks people who assembled Nebraska’s exhibit at the Great American State Fair

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Many people were thanked by Gov. Jim Pillen for their participation in Nebraska’s exhibit at the Great American State Fair. Partners, sponsors, volunteers and staff were all appreciated after the fairs end today, July 10.
Pillen said Nebraska was highlighted in the best way.
“Due to their participation, thousands of visitors had the opportunity to learn about Nebraska’s long history of innovation, culture, and economic leadership,” said Pillen. “Their dedication, enthusiasm, and hospitality made this event possible and ensured that every visitor experienced the very best of Nebraska.”
Nebraska’s pavilion opened on June 25. It showcased many Nebraska businesses and organizations. They provided sponsorship support, volunteers and exhibit displays.
Pillen met with National Guard troops from Nebraska who have assisted with security. Around 200 deployed personnel will return home shortly.
“It was a privilege to spend time with them and hear about their experiences,” said Pillen. “They’ve been serving in uniform during some of the hottest days this summer, assisting visitors and helping them to have a safe and enjoyable experience in our nation’s capital. We look forward to their return home.”
