Gov. Pillen extends burn ban for much of Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Gov. Jim Pillen issued a new executive order Tuesday extending a burn ban in central and western Nebraska.

Burning will be prohibited through midnight May 10.

Last week, after a controlled burn that turned into a wildfire, the governor implemented a statewide burn ban that expires midnight Wednesday.
