Grand Island student threatens another with gun violence

An 11-year-old Grand Island student is facing criminal charges after police say he threatened to bring a gun to school, and shoot another student Wednesday.

The threat was made at Grand Island Central Catholic, police say he didn’t have the means to carry out the threat but still have referred him to the county attorney’s office for terroristic threats.

The school released a statement saying safety continue to be their number one priority.
