Grand opening and holiday fair for the Railyard Ice Rink

While the Railyard Ice Rink officially opened on Monday for normal business operations, the Grand Opening & Holiday Fair event scheduled for Friday November, 30th had to be postponed due to the rain. Adding to the festivities of the Grand Opening will be the Nebraska Floral Society who will be on site hosting a raffle of special Holiday floral arrangements as well as showing guests how to make their own this season. Enjoy shopping
with 13 vendors and watch a presentation by the UNL Skating Club at 6:30pm. KZKX 96.9 will also be in the Railyard with free concert tickets to give away as well as special music for the evening.
In addition to Ice Skating in the Railyard this Holiday Season, The Railyard has teamed up with The Boys & Girls Club of Lincoln/Lancaster County. When guests visit the Railyard, they have an opportunity to support The Boys &
Girls Club by participating in a gift drive. The Railyard will be collecting new gifts for school aged children and their families on behalf of The Boys & Girls Club.
Public Ice Skating is open Monday through Thursday from 5pm to 9pm. Fridays, 5pm to 12am, Saturdays 12pm to midnight, and Sunday 12pm to 9pm. In January, the rink will be closed on Mondays for Broomball League through February 20th. These hours are subject to change due to weather or special events.
The Railyard plans to have extended hours during Lincoln Public Schools’ winter break. More information can be found at:

Admission to skate in The Railyard is free if you have your own skates, if you are in need of renting skates the cost is $9 for adults and $6 for kids.
Other events taking place on The Railyard Rink this season include, Holiday Movie Nights on December 14th and 21st with screenings of Elf and The Polar Express, and our special Skate with Santa Night on Saturday, December 22nd
