Grass fire sparked by chainsaw in central Nebraska

LINCOLN Neb. (KLKN) – Two central Nebraska fire departments put out a small grass fire Thursday in Clay County.

Clay Center Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene swiftly, according to its post on Facebook.

The Harvard Fire Department provided assistance.

The fire was started from the spark of a chainsaw, according to Clay Center Fire.

The fire was contained, and no injuries or damage to the scene were noted.

Clay Center Fire and Rescue reminds everyone to stay cautious in dry weather conditions when using outdoor equipment.

Clay County is just east of Hastings.
