Gretna East blows past Lincoln Standing Bear, gets first win of season
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Gretna East dominated on Thursday, trouncing Lincoln Standing Bear 61-0 at Union Bank Stadium.
It was the defense that stood out most for the Griffins, not even allowing a first down through much of the first half.
Gretna East started the game off with a statement drive, getting a 5-yard touchdown run from junior running back Connor Sams.
Sams was the work horse early, getting another touchdown on a 25-yard rush to give the Griffins a 13-0 lead.
A toe-tap touchdown from wide receiver Seth Kraegel in the second quarter turned this game into a blowout.
The Grizzlies are still looking for that first win in school history as they take on Waverly next week.
