LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A group of teens hid in a cornfield Thursday after they rolled a vehicle over in Kearney, the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office says.

Around 6:30 p.m., a vehicle – which was later found to be stolen – rolled over near 11th Street and Highway 10.

Shortly after the crash, five teens got out of the vehicle and ran into a nearby cornfield, the sheriff’s office said.

Authorities searched the area using police dogs and drones.  Eventually, authorities found the teens, all of whom were not seriously injured.

An investigation is ongoing, and criminal charges are pending, the sheriff’s office said.
