‘Group of kids’ tossed firework into man’s vehicle at Lincoln Target, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police are looking for the vandals who tossed a firework into a vehicle early Thursday morning.

Around 3:50 a.m., officers were sent to Target near 48th and O Streets on a report of vandalism.

A 27-year-old man told officers that a “group of kids” threw a lit firework into his vehicle, police said.

The man threw the firework out of a window, but it still caused the passenger seat to ignite.

Police estimate the vehicle had around $1,000 in damage.

The vandals, who were in a stolen black Nissan Armada, drove off before officers arrived, police said.
