Group stole $227 in mini alcohol bottles from Lincoln gas station, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Several mini alcohol bottles were stolen Monday morning from a north Lincoln gas station, police say.

Around 4:30 a.m., officers were sent to U-Stop near North 56th Street and Arbor Road on a report of a break-in.

Police said the glass door was shattered and several “shooter-sized” alcohol bottles were lying on the ground.

Surveillance video captured five people, all dressed in dark clothing, getting out of an SUV in the parking lot.

Three people threw a large weight through the front door, according to police.

The group then stole $227 worth of mini alcohol bottles and left the store.

They caused an estimated $500 in damage, police said.

An investigation is ongoing.
