Gusty north winds after gradual clearing
Cloudy with light drizzle to start early Tuesday. Expect soggy conditions through the morning commute and colder conditions with a gusty north wind making it feel about 10 degrees colder.
Temperatures will rise back to the 50s again today after a chillier morning, especially once the sun comes back.
However, at times, blustery north winds throughout the day will be making it feel much colder. Cloud cover will remain through the morning, but gusts in Lincoln will remain around 30-35 mph.
Stormcast shows the cloud deck working on clearing just before noon today. Far southeast Nebraska will hold onto the cloud cover the longest until sun for all is seen by the late afternoon.
With the sun returning, we’re expecting higher winds to mix down to the surface with gusts around 35-45 mph in eastern and central Nebraska Tuesday afternoon.
So cooler and windy again into Wednesday with highs in the 50s. Gradual warming will bring us back to the 60s for the end of the work week.
After that, this weekend looks to be the start of another active period with almost daily rain chances into most of next week. Still keeping an eye on the partial solar eclipse forecast for us at home, with partly cloudy skies for now on Monday (April 8).
