Local company offering free roof treatments after April hail storm

During these tough times, a Lincoln company has been able to stay in business. In fact, it's now giving back to the community.

A local roofing company is offering thousands of dollars in free services to those who were affected by this month’s hail storm.

“When a shingle is new, it starts out with petrochemical oils. As it ages and dries out, it loses those oils,” said Jeremy Schafer, owner of Revolution Roof and product ROOF MAXX.

Schafer says his local company has an Earth Day savvy solution to tackle one of the most expensive repairs on a home.

“ROOF MAXX restores those oils into those shingles, making them flexible and pliable again,” said Schafer. “If you’ve had hail damage, we’re able to stop the degranulation, we’re able to seal down your roof and we’re able to raise out those hail depressions that are in your roof.”

The product is a USDA bio preferred oil that is sprayed on as an enamel for your shingles, giving another 5 years of life to them in one application.

“Roof Max is 100 percent green soy fusion technology that is not harmful to people, pets or plants, it’s 100 percent safe for the environment. Once a shingle goes into the landfill, they’re there for 200 or 300 years,” said Schafer.

Jeremy says the cost for this treatment is usually about 20 to 25 percent of the cost of an entire new roof, so roughly $3,000 per home.

He says the time for each job averages only around an hour in comparison to a full day job for a new roof.

Jeremy also wants to give back to the community. He says he realizes some people are out of work, or may not have good insurance for their roofs.

“We’re going to give a free roof treatment a month for the next couple months. We’d love to hear from the viewers, we’d love to hear you nominate a friend or a family member, somebody who can save up to 10 to 15 thousand dollars on a roof replacement,” said Schafer.

They’re calling it the ROOF MAXX COMMUNITY PROTECTION PROGRAM. If you know someone in need, this could be great for them.
