Hall County deputies finish investigation into 68-year-old Nebraska woman’s death
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Hall County investigators have finished an investigation into the death of a Grand Island woman earlier this year.
In a press release Friday, the sheriff’s office said there is “currently no sufficient evidence” to suggest that 68-year-old Constance Baasch’s injuries were caused by a criminal act.
On Oct. 15, 2022, deputies found Baasch, who lived alone, unconscious at her home. The sheriff’s office said her injuries were “suspicious in nature.”
She died on Feb. 28.
During a months-long investigation, deputies served over a dozen search warrants to examine Baasch’s medical and financial histories.
The sheriff’s office said investigators will follow up if additional information arises.
