Hallam Fest 2019

Hallam Fest happens each year to raise money toward improvements for the village of Hallam.
“The money that they take in, they’re using it to help their city park and maintenance. This is what these towns are all about. It’s small town living and small town living is the best way to be. It’s us,” Crete local and vendor at Hallam Fest, Kristie Poteet said.
The small festival had a farmers market, kids activities, craft fair and car show.
Tractor pulls happened after noon and American Legion is holding a barbecue from 5 to 8pm.
Nebraska locals were very happy to attend.
“This is the best way to meet people and visit with people and it’s just great. Everybody’s happy and everybody likes each other and everybody is friendly and that’s what this world should be,” Poteet said.
The annual fest ends with a midnight breakfast.
Visitors say this town is the strongest of the strong– surviving the infamous Hallam tornado, and now they’re having no problem with the heat index of the day.
