Handgun stolen in break-in at north Lincoln home, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A handgun was stolen Wednesday in a break-in at a north Lincoln home, police say.

Around 3:10 p.m., a 21-year-old man returned to his home near 26th and Y streets and found the front door open.

He then found the home in disarray, later discovering his roommate’s handgun was missing, police said.

The gun is a black Smith & Wesson M&P 9 mm.  Nothing else was missing from the home.
