Hastings house fire takes an hour to put out
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Firefighters spent an hour battling a blaze in Hastings on Thursday night.
Crews responded to a house fire near East Fourth Street and North California Avenue about 7:30 p.m., according to Hastings Fire & Rescue.
They brought it under control about 8:30 p.m.
The fire department said the house was under construction, which made it harder to fight the fire.
Everyone was evacuated, and officials said no one was injured.
All utilities were shut off before the blaze, according to the fire department.
The Hastings Rural Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the fire.
Officials said the cause is still under investigation.
