Hazy skies with a chance of scattered showers Saturday

This weekend looks to be a perfect time to get out and enjoy the pool. Temperatures will be in the 80s and even some lower 90s on Sunday.

Tonight, the smoke aloft in the atmosphere will move east and will make the skies hazy for Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon, the smoke tries to lift higher into the atmosphere. By Saturday evening, the smoke will come back and spread across the state going into Sunday. Some air quality alerts could go in effect near Sunday.

The smoke near the surface will be minimum through tonight. Saturday morning, parts of west central Nebraska could see some haziness closer to the surface, which could affect people with respiratory symptoms. Going into Sunday, the smoke concentration looks to get closer to the surface by the afternoon hours.

 

Tonight, temperatures in the 50s for all of us. Not too bad of a night to get out and enjoy.

Saturday, Temperatures in the low to upper 80s. A low pressure system will move through in the afternoon, which will bring some scattered to isolated rain and storm chances.

Saturday afternoon and evening, a chance for some isolated showers and thunderstorms. No severe threat is expected with these storms that develop.

A busy and warm 10 day forecast. A chance for isolated storms Saturday evening. Monday night, a cold front moves through bringing some storm chances. Tuesday, storms likely in the morning and afternoon. Some storms could become severe on Tuesday. Scattered to isolated storm chances continue  through next weekend. An active weather pattern looks to be in store as we head into June.
