At least two injured in head-on crash in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. — At least two people were injured in a head-on crash in Lincoln on Thursday.

Lincoln Police said they were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The crash happened on Highway 77 and Warlick Boulevard around 7:30 a.m., bringing the morning commute to a crawl.

A pickup truck and an SUV collided head-on, and debris was sent flying all over the intersection by the impact.

Right now, it’s not clear what caused the crash.

Police were called in to help control traffic throughout the area.

As of 10:15 a.m., the vehicles involved had been removed.

Debris remained scattered along the road, but traffic was moving around uninterrupted.
