LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Two cars collided head-on in Lincoln on Thursday night, with enough force that police say one person was trapped in their vehicle.

This happened at 48th and Vine Streets, just after 11 p.m.

One of the vehicles ended up in the middle of the intersection, while the other one drove up onto the grass next to Play It Again Sports.

The impact also knocked off one of the vehicle’s bumpers.

Police said first responders had to remove the person who was trapped when they arrived.

Right now, it’s not clear what led up to this. Channel 8 was told that none of the injuries are life-threatening.

The area has since reopened.
