LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Douglas County Health Department recommends that people involved in storm clean-up should have a tetanus vaccination within the last 10 years.

Friday’s storms created high-risk conditions for tetanus, according to Health Director Dr. Lindsay Huse.

The health department will hold a tetanus vaccine clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting Sunday and going through Thursday.

The clinic will be held at Common Ground Community Center in Elkhorn.

Additional tetanus and storm relief information can be found on the health department’s website.
