UPDATE: SWAT arrests man after standoff in Lincoln

A Lincoln man is in police custody following an hours long standoff with police in southwest Lincoln.
According to Lincoln Police, a woman called in at 3:30 a.m. concerned about her husband. She said he was intoxicated and fired a gun while she was on the phone with him. She said her two children, ages one and three, were inside the home near Roper Elementary.
Lincoln Police, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, and SWAT teams surrounded the home on the 1900 block of Hartman Road near Southwest 16th.
SWAT took the man into custody shortly after 8:30 without incident. The children have been reunited with their mother.
As a precaution, Roper Elementary kept students inside prior to the school day.
The SWAT team is responding to reports of threats made at a home near SW 16th and Mulberry Streets in west Lincoln.
Lincoln Police tell us a man inside made threats, and won’t come outside.
