Hello to summer-like weather!
Another pleasant day for the books in Southeast Nebraska! Sunshine was abundant on this Thursday despite some high clouds. The high clouds were enough to filter some of the sunshine, but not by much. Highs were still able to get up into the middle to upper-80s across Nebraska.
The air also had a comfortable feel as dew points were in the upper-40s today. For the rest of this evening and overnight, some of the high clouds will begin to thin out and depart. We’re mostly clear overnight with lows dropping to around 60 in Lincoln.
Starting on Friday, we say hello to summer! Skies clear out and temperatures will soar into the low to mid-90s. Friday will also mark a gradual uptick in humidity. This may or may not be notictable for some, but dew points should rise to around 60° tomorrow regardless.
Saturday features similar weather, with even more humidity. If you don’t notice the heaviness to the air on Friday, you should by Saturday.
The warm weather will continue well into next week. By then, rain chances will increase. The models are still fighting over the exact details, but we do know at this point that we may have a series of disturbances that could bring some rain next week. Stay tuned for more details as they come in!
