‘Help Me, Rhonda’: Kitten at Capital Humane Society ready for new home
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Anyone looking for a new furry friend should check out all the pets available at the Capital Humane Society.
One of them is Rhonda, a 12-week-old domestic shorthair with a big personality.
Nadia Postek, director of animal welfare at the shelter, brought Rhonda to the Channel 8 studio on Wednesday.
She said the kitten will do well in a house with other pets or kids.
The shelter’s Mary Jo Livingston adoption promotion is still active, granting 50% off adoptions of cats 6 months and older.
Postek said nearly all dog kennels are full at both the Pieloch Adoption Center and the intake center.
Those interested in fostering dogs or cats can find more information on the humane society’s website.
Also on the website, you can find information on donating items and volunteering with the shelter.
