Bennet Fire and Rescue Donation Event

Bennet Fire and Rescue along with the Salvation Army will be doing a donation drive Friday at the Walmart on 84th St. and Highway 2. They  plan on starting around 1 p.m. and continuing into the evening.

They’re focusing on putting together cleaning kits, personal hygiene items and several other items to help replenish the Salvation Army’s resources.

Any monetary donations will go to the Salvation Army for future purchases to aid in the disaster relief efforts.

 

Boss’ Pizza & Chicken Fundraising Day

Boss’ Pizza and Chicken (1000 Saunders Ave, Lincoln) will host a fundraising day on March 26 for the Disaster Relief Fund to help flooding victims. 

From 3 p.m. until 3 a.m., 20% of all dine-in, carry-out, and take and bake orders, will go towards the cause. 

 

Chopsticks Fundraising Day

On Sunday, March 24th from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. join Chopsticks on 70th & A Streets to support the Red Cross!

50% of sales will be donated to our local Red Cross to assist in supporting the flood victims of our great state. Together….and always….#NebraskaStrong

 

Fill The Bus – B&R Stores

B&R Stores, Inc. launched a Fill the Bus For Flood Relief campaign in its Lincoln Russ’s Market and Super Saver locations in cooperation with Cornhusker International Trucks and the Salvation Army.

Cornhusker International Trucks will provide school buses at each Lincoln Russ’s Market and Super Saver location.

Customers can help with flood relief by filling the buses with items needed by the Salvation Army.

Currently, the main emphasis is for cleaning products such as household cleaners, bleach, brooms, and towels. Non-perishable food items needed include snack foods for relief workers.

The event runs from Tuesday, March 19th through Friday, March 22nd, at 6:00pm. Cornhusker International Trucks will ship the product to the Salvation Army for dispersal.

In addition to the Fill the Bus event, each Lincoln Russ’s Market and Super Saver location will have a Round Up at the check lanes. Customers can round up their purchase to the nearest dollar and the proceeds will go to the Salvation Army and directed to Nebraska flood relief. The round up will start on Tuesday, March 19th and go through Sunday, April 7th.

 

Hearing Aid Repair & Replacement – Custom Hearing Solutions 

Custom Hearing Solutions is offering to repair or replace hearing aids that were damaged or lost due to flooding at no cost. 

Those seeking this service should call their office and let them know who they got them from originally or who the manufacturer of the hearing aid is.

Hy-Vee Offers Customers Opportunity to Donate to Nebraska/Iowa Flood Relief Efforts

Starting Tuesday March 19th, customers at all Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa, Hy-Vee stores can donate any amount at the register or customer service counter to help with flood relief efforts. Hy-Vee will match donations, up to $50,000, to help local communities devastated by flooding.

Funds will go directly to the American Red Cross of Nebraska and Southwest Iowa. Customers who are unable to visit one of the following stores to make an in-person donation also can donate online at https://www.redcross.org/local/nebraska.html.

Hy-Vee has already partnered with the American Red Cross and local emergency management officials to deliver bottled water, food and fuel to areas impacted by flood waters.

 

J Tech Construction & Channel 8 Eyewitness News 

J Tech Construction has a trailer in the Channel 8 KLKN-TV parking lot that will be accepting donations all week from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

The Channel 8 station is located at 3240 South 10th Street in Lincoln.

The trailer will be heading to North Bend and Fremont once it’s filled.

Items that are in desperate need are baby formula, baby and adult diapers, and non-perishable foods.

They said you can also drop donations off at The Harbor Coffeehouse near Cotner Blvd. and A St.

 

Fundraising Night – Texas Road House 

On Monday, March 25, Nebraska’s Texas Roadhouse locations will host fundraisers to benefit the Red Cross Local Flood Relief Fund. The restaurants will donate ten percent of all food sales to support communities and families affected by the recent flooding. The event runs from 4:00 – 10:00 p.m. at locations in Lincoln, Omaha, Papillion, Grand Island, and Council Bluffs. 

 

TRIM $10 Haircuts with Water Donation 

TRIM is partnering with Center for People in Need for the 2019 Nebraska Floods.

We will be offering $10 haircuts with the donation of a case of water.

We will be a drop-off center for other donations as well lists posted on our social media sites.

 

Pumps, Hoses, & Generators – Midwest Unlimited 

Midwest Unlimited, in Lincoln, is selling all pumps, hoses and generators going towards the residents and businesses affected by the flooding in Nebraska at dealer cost.
