Spartans edge Thunderbolts in a week one thriller

LINCOLN, Neb.- For the fourth year in a row, Lincoln East and Pius X met in week one of the high school football season.  For the third straight time, Lincoln East came away with the victory. In what was a lower scoring game than most envisioned, the Spartans scored late to earn the victory 17-14. The battle of “A” street at Seacrest Field had a great atmosphere as both student sections were filled to the max.
