High School Football Preview: Lincoln Christian looks to break through in 2025
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Christian Crusaders are on a mission for 2025.
After their 7-3 season in 2024, they hope to reload and go for another big year.
They’ve finished with three losses for three consecutive seasons, and they feel they’re right on the brink of breaking through.

“I think we know what it looks like to try and be a top-10 team every year,” head coach Kurt Earl said. “But that requires a lot of development and guys making the right choices in these early weeks.”
He said the players have done that so far.
“So we are excited to see what we can do,” the coach said.
While Lincoln Christian is bringing back some talent, it’s lost a lot of senior production from 2024.
But the new seniors are excited for their last crusade in Lincoln.
“I played all four years,” said senior quarterback and outside linebacker Matthew Witt. “So I mean, it’s my last one, so it will be sad when it’s over, but I’ll just play my heart out.”

The team said at the end of the day, they play for an audience of one with the motto “One team, one goal, one God.”
“Your parents are in the stands, your girlfriend’s in the stands; you know, you’re trying to impress them,” said senior right guard and nose tackle Moses Dove. “But sometimes you need to take a step back and say, ‘Am I glorifying God by what I’m doing here?'”
Lincoln Christian will open the 2025 season versus Lincoln Lutheran, a team it defeated 28-14 in last year’s season opener.
