High school football preview: Lincoln Lutheran ready to ‘give it everything we got’

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Lutheran finished last season at 4-5, but it was a building year.

The Warriors are looking to rally around second-year head coach Sean Wieting in 2024.

“We’re still relatively young,” Wieting said. “But we got a good group of guys that are working hard, caring about each other, they care about the Lord.”

Leading the way on defense is senior linebacker Rylan Uhrich, who is ready to raise the bar for his team.

“We’re going to come out and give it everything we got,” he said. “You’re definitely going see a difference from last season.”

The Warriors kick off the year against rival Lincoln Christian in a battle for the Spirit Sword on Friday, Aug. 30, at 7 p.m.
