High school football preview: Lincoln Northeast hopes to take off with the passing game
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – After an 0-9 season in 2o23, Lincoln Northeast is ready to turn things around this year.
“It hurt so bad seeing all of our seniors walk away without a single win last year,” junior middle linebacker Dequan Dixon said.
Third-year head coach Javonta Boyd is hoping a more physical offense can help the Rockets move the ball.
“That’s our team goals: move the ball and put up points,” he said.

The passing game is a large factor in the process.
“We’re going to be a passing threat this year,” senior tight end Levi Sherman said. “If you’re not ready for it, we’re just going to throw it over your head.”
The Rockets start the season on Friday, Aug. 30, versus Omaha Northwest.
