High winds and thunderstorms
Southeast winds Saturday could gust to 50 MPH+ by afternoon and evening.
Very low humidity with warm temperatures and high winds all combine for a high fire danger in eastern Nebraska.
Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible by late afternoon and evening on Saturday as a cold front and shortwave trough pushes east.
Lows tonight will average in the lower 40’s.
Temperatures for Saturday will be warm, mainly in the upper 60’s to lower 70’s.
After the winds and thunderstorms this weekend we’ll see a nice warm-up with highs climbing into the 70’s.
The best chance for rain will be associated with thunderstorms as the cold front pushes in Saturday afternoon, but we’ll also have chances this coming Tuesday and Wednesday. Normal highs for early April average in the lower 60’s and overnight temps in the mid and upper 30’s is normal.
