Hit and run causes $5,100 in damages, 16-year-old referred
LPD says the collisions totaled an estimated $5100 to a sign and the Neberia Arcoiris restaurant.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln Police have referred a 16-year-old for leaving the scene of an accident that caused $5,100 in damages to two vehicles and a restaurant.
On Jan. 16th before 9:15 a.m., A Nissan Maxima struck a Nissan Kicks at the intersection of 10th and New Hampshire Street.
A 70-year-old driving the Nissan Kicks looked both ways on 10th Street, then proceeded to the intersection, this is when the vehicle was struck by the Nissan Maxima.
The collision sent both cars north which led to the Nissan Maxima striking a sign that collided with the Neberia Arcoiris restaurant at 1317 N. 10th Street.
LPD says the collisions totaled an estimated $5100 to the sign and building. Before officers were able to arrive, the two occupants of the Nissan Maxima fled the scene.
First responders transported the driver of the Nissan Kicks to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers investigated and determined a 16-year-old was the driver of the Nissan Maxima. On Monday, officers referred and released the driver for leaving the scene of an injury accident.
