Hit and run storms but the wind continues.
Storms will continue to push rapidly north as the severity dwindles later this evening.
A High Wind Warning will continue until 10 PM tonight for a large portion of Nebraska and continue in many areas through tomorrow evening.
Lows over night will be cooler as a cold front moves through the region.
We’ll see cooler highs for Sunday but a warming trend follows.
A few showers could linger into late Sunday morning through early afternoon as highs climb to near 70 by Wednesday.
A deep upper level low spinning over Nebraska was responsible for the rain and thunderstorms that moved rapidly north. Severe storms that moved through Lancaster county early this evening were moving north at 70 MPH with no reports of large hail. Some lingering showers and high winds remain in the forecast Sunday but conditions will be much improved as we head into next week.
