Horse rescue organization looking for missing horse

Epona Horse Rescue is a non–profit organization in Crete that saves horses from abuse and neglect and rehabilitates them.
On Tuesday, two horses named Gracie and Keno got loose. They were able to get Gracie back in the barn, but Keno was nowhere to be found.
"It’s like aliens beamed him up," said Director Lin Guyton. "I mean, there has been no manure– we have seen no horse manure on the roads…I mean, it’s like he’s just gone."
Guyton said it’s the first time in Epona’s 14 year history a horse has gone missing after escaping.
Why would Guyton be so concerned over just one of their 21 horses?
She said Keno and his mother were in line for slaughter at a Kansas kill lot. She went there to buy his mother and her other baby off the lot.
"So we brought his mother and new baby home and it just really spoke to my heart that that little boy was left behind and he was crying in the fence line," Guyton said.
So she raised $800 to buy him off the lot and brought him home.
She said Keno is a special horse that will make a great animal for someone.
As for his whereabouts, she said he likely wasn’t stolen.
"This is not a friendly baby," she said. "This is not a horse you can walk up to and put a halter on and lead away."
So she thinks he most likely disappeared into the fields near their land.
She said they’re going to offer a reward for $500.
"He’s faced so much in his little, short life that I just want him home and safe," Guyton said.
She said if you think you’ve seen Keno, do not try to catch him. Instead, you should report it to law enforcement.
