Severe Weather Potential:
Severe weather will be possible across the state this weekend, beginning in the panhandle on Saturday evening. There is a MARGINAL RISK (Level 1 out of 5) of severe weather from the Storm Prediction Center for the potential of large hail and damaging winds.

Central and eastern Nebraska will see chances for severe weather on Sunday afternoon and evening with a MARGIAL RISK of severe weather in place.

Forecast:

A hot and humid day ahead in Lincoln with highs today in the mid-90s. We will see increasing cloud cover throughout the afternoon, but temperatures remain warm with a strong southerly breeze between 10 and 15 miles per hour, gusting to 25.
Low temperatures tonight across southeast Nebraska will fall into the upper 60s and lower 70s. Winds calm down, remaining out of the south between 5 and 10 miles per hour.
Mostly cloudy in the Capital City tonight with lows in the lower 70s. A light wind out of the south as well between 5 and 10 miles per hour.
High temperatures across southeast Nebraska will range from the middle and upper 80s ahead of the incoming cold front, to upper 70s behind the front. Another breezy day ahead with winds out of the south between 10-15 miles per hour, gusting to 25.
High temperatures in the mid-80s in Lincoln with partly sunny skies. Another breezy day ahead on Sunday before chances for storm arrive in the evening.
Sunshine ahead on Monday before a more active weather pattern will move across the plains by Tuesday. Temperatures start in the middle and upper 80s before dropping mid-week into the upper 70s. Storm chances fortunately look to clear out for Nebraska vs Michigan next Saturday.
