Hot for two days before daily storm chances by the Fourth
Showers and storms cruising through central and eastern Nebraska overnight were on a weakening trend as they made it closer to Lincoln early Wednesday morning.
These showers/storms will turn to be more spotty chances the rest of the morning after about 6 to 7 a.m. Wednesday.
With a mix of sun and clouds clearing more this afternoon, high temperatures will be hot again and approaching the lower and middle 90s. With slightly more humidity than yesterday, the heat index could be in the middle and almost upper 90s both today and tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow though, the weather looks to cooperate and stay dry through Uncle Sam Jam festivities Thursday evening.
For the Fourth of July, scattered storms will develop from western and central Nebraska, eventually moving toward eastern Nebraska Friday evening and night.
And the upcoming holiday weekend will continue to feature off and on occasional storm chances through early next week.
