Hundreds of volunteers participate in Huskers Helping the Homeless

For the 22nd year, Matt Talbot kitchen and outreach is teaming up with local businesses and community sponsors to raise money on behalf of the working poor and homeless community in Lincoln.
The 2018 addition of Huskers Helping the Homeless took place this weekend.
“Over the four days we are hoping to raise about $55,000 dollars total,” said Victoria O’Neil with Matt Talbot.
Volunteers were accepting donations at various locations throughout Lincoln, including Russ market, Sam’s club, Super Saver, Walmart Southpointe and downtown Lincoln.
This year, over 700 volunteers came out to ask for donations.
“Matt Talbot would not be what it is without volunteers. We are very blessed with having so many volunteers come out and always helping us so we are very fortunate with that,” said O’Neil.
Officials with Matt Talbot say it is not too late to donate. For more information about how to get http://mtko.org/huskersgive.
