Hundreds pay their respects during Officer Ross Bartlett’s funeral procession
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — An emotional scene unfolded in Lincoln on Friday as hundreds of people from all walks of life paid tribute to Ceresco Police Officer Ross Bartlett.
He died last week after a crash during a traffic stop.
After his funeral, family, law enforcement, firefighters and community members escorted his body from St. Mark’s United Methodist Church to Roper & Sons Funeral Home.

People gathered along the streets to show their respect as the procession passed by.
One Lincoln man he showed up with an American flag to support Barlett’s family.
“I live here in town, so I just drove over to show my respects to this fallen officer,” Richard Whalen said.

A group of volunteers also showed up to pay tribute.
The Nebraska Patriot Guard Riders provided flag lines at the church before the funeral started.
One of the volunteers, Jim Mather, said it was an honor for him.
“We see the firetrucks and police departments from all over,” he said. “A lot of support.”

Lincoln Fire & Rescue also honored Bartlett.
An American flag waved high between two ladder trucks as the community said goodbye to the fallen hero.
