Husker basketball star Natalie Potts out of surgery, ‘one day closer’ to return
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska basketball forward Natalie Potts said Wednesday that she is “one day closer” to returning to the court.
Potts said on X that she was done with surgery for her knee injury, which she suffered in the game against North Alabama on Nov. 19.
Nebraska said Potts would be out for the rest of the season.
The sophomore said she looks forward to playing with her “best friends” again.
“Ready to write a new story & I can’t wait to share this journey with everyone,” she wrote.
Last season, Potts was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year, scoring 10.2 points per game and making 5.5 rebounds.
Before her injury, she was averaging 14.4 points and 7.4 rebounds this season.
