Husker fans react to latest loss at Northwestern

An exciting game in Evanston, but a familiar result.
Husker fans had a lot more to cheer for at the Railyard in Lincoln this Saturday against Northwestern, but a few plays late ended up costing them a win.
“We had the game, we were up by 14 and should have been able to close it out. We get the punt down to their one yard line and they go 99 yards. Couple more dumb penalties, the penalties hurt us again today,” said Cory Powers.
The Huskers gave up a 99 yard touchdown drive late in the game to give Northwestern new life.
“For a while, yeah, it was great. That was a lot of fun, they haven’t done that in a while so we were glad to see them play well it was a nice change of pace,” said Jill Borer.
The team has made strides in recent weeks and the fans are beginning to take notice.
“It is tough to see this year but we will come around. The team is making some strides, that is what we wanted,” said Powers.
The Huskers hope to find that elusive first win of the season next week against Minnesota.
