Husker legend Jordan Larson joining pro volleyball team in Omaha

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska legend Jordan Larson will play for a pro volleyball team in Omaha — but she won’t be joining the Omaha Supernovas.
Larson — who played at Nebraska from 2005 to 2008 — is joining League One Volleyball, another pro volleyball league that launches in November.
The league’s inaugural season features teams in Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Madison, Omaha and Salt Lake City.
Larson is joining former Husker Justine Wong-Orantes on the Omaha team, league officials announced Tuesday.
“Increasing access to the sport of volleyball is core to who I am, so I could not be more excited to join an organization that is also so committed to advancing the game and every person who plays it,” Larson said in a press release.

Larson earned several awards during her time at Nebraska. She was named to the Nebraska Athletic Hall of Fame in 2020.
After four seasons with the Huskers, Larson went international and played for Team USA, winning a gold medal in the 2021 Olympics.
She has also played professionally in Puerto Rico, Russia, Turkey, China and Italy.
The Hooper native joined the Nebraska volleyball coaching staff last season, and she will continue to serve in that role.
