Husker QB Dylan Raiola: ‘We just have to get ready for what they have coming’

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)– Husker football players and coaches talking ahead of Friday’s first Big Ten matchup against Illinois.

Quarterback Dylan Raiola said the sellout crowds give them extra motivation and he said they’re going to need it Friday.

The first-year starter said head coach Matt Rhule taught them nothing should change, based on who they play.

“I think they’re just physical and they fly around the football,” Raiola said.  “They’re coached very well, and a lot of them played together. They are a very physical group, they’ve got a lot of ball hawks in the secondary, so we just have to get ready for what they have coming.”

The Fighting Illini are ready for a good fight this Friday.

“400 straight sellouts,” Bret Bielema, Illinois Head Coach said. “I don’t know how many times you get 400 of anything. But we get the opportunity to be number 400. With a very tenured unbelievable fan base. It’s a very high IQ football crowd. They understand what they get. They play to it and that doesn’t happen by chance.”

Nebraska takes on Illinois at Memorial Stadium on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
