Husker softball lands Southwest’s Ashley Smetter
Smetter announced her commitment on Wednesday via Twitter.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska softball landed a commit on Wednesday. Lincoln Southwest junior Ashley Smetter announced her commitment via Twitter on Wednesday.
The infielder earned Super-State first team honors, and led the Silver Hawks to a third place finish in the Class A State Tournament. Smetter was the lead-off hitter her junior year. She recorded 19 doubles, 58 runs, 77 hits, 24 extra-base hits and batted a .517.
Smetter will join the Huskers in 2022.
