LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska softball’s Jordyn Bahl is one of 10 finalists for a national player of the year award, officials announced Wednesday.

Bahl, the Big Ten’s Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year, is a finalist for the USA Softball/ESPN Collegiate Player of the Year honor.

This is the third time Bahl has been a top 10 finalist for the award, as she earned a spot on the list in 2022 and 2023 while at Oklahoma.

Two other Big Ten standouts, Oregon’s Lyndsey Grein and UCLA’s Jordan Woolery, are also finalists for the award.

Bahl helped lead the Huskers to the Baton Rouge Regional in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.  Nebraska faces No. 3 UConn on Friday at 2 p.m.

She is the first Husker to ever record 15 doubles and 15 home runs in the same season.

The Papillion native has an ERA of 1.57 and a 23-6 record with 174.1 innings pitched.  Bahl also struck out 254 batters while only allowing 39 earned runs.

The top three finalists for the Collegiate Player of the Year will be announced on May 19 before the Women’s College World Series.
