LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska tight end Travis Vokolek earned himself 63 yards on five receptions in Ireland but left the game early with an ankle injury.

On Tuesday, coach Scott Frost spoke about the tight end’s status leading into Saturday’s matchup with North Dakota.

“I thought he played a great first half,” he said. “He’s a real security blanket for us. He’s day to day, and we have a couple other guys that are day to day and nobody that we lost for an extended amount of time.”

During the press conference, Frost also discussed Mark Whipple, Casey Thompson and North Dakota.
