Husker volleyball defeats Creighton in four sets

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Nebraska volleyball defeated Creighton on Wednesday night, preserving its perfect record in the in-state rivalry.

The Huskers won 25-9, 25-13, 23-25, 25-20 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

The No. 16 Bluejays gave NU its toughest fight of the season so far.

Nebraska, ranked fourth nationally, had swept every match until now.

NU hit at .280%, compared with .00% for the No. 16 Bluejays.

Merritt Beason led the Huskers with 17 kills, followed by Lindsay Krause with 12 and Harper Murray with 10.

Lexi Rodriguez had 14 digs, Bergen Reilly had 11 and Laney Choboy had 10.

Reilly also recorded 42 assists.

Destiny Ndam-Simpson led the effort for the Jays, with 13 kills.
