Husker volleyball stars mentor the youth during their volleyball camp
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Bergen Reilly and Andi Jackson hosted and led a youth volleyball camp with FlexWork Sports coaches. Both players helped with instruction and demonstration, mentoring the youth.
The camp was open to children ages 6-17 with two sessions at the Speedway Sports Complex.
Reilly shared her experience during the camp.
“These camps are awesome,” said Reilly. “We have worked a lot of Nebraska camps and now these FlexWork camps. They’re a great opportunity to give back. This is what makes Nebraska what it is, having all this support so we’re really grateful that we can hangout and meet so many different little girls that we inspire.”
The camp included interactive sessions and opportunities to connect with the athletes in a way they could not outside of the camp.
Jackson said the opportunity is something special.
“It’s something that we don’t want to take for granted,” said Jackson. “Moments like this is really what proves that there is no place like Nebraska. The opportunity to form a connection with the next generation is so special and we really want to cherish it.”
