Husker volleyball sweeps Tulsa for second win of season’s first day

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Nebraska volleyball team finished the first day of its season with another sweep.
The No. 1 Huskers defeated Tulsa 25-15, 25-12, 25-13 at the Devaney Center on Friday night, hours after sweeping Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
In NU’s second match, sophomore Whitney Lauenstein led Nebraska with 15 kills, and senior Madi Kubik recorded 14.
The Huskers earned a .318 hitting percentage, while holding the Golden Hurricane to .038.
On defense, Lexi Rodriguez had 16 digs. Nicklin Hames added 11, and Anni Evans recorded 10.
