Husker women’s soccer dominates in first home exhibition game
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska women’s soccer looked like how it finished last season: dominant.
The Huskers beat Kansas City 5-1 in their first exhibition game of the season.
Abbey Schwarz led the way on offense, scoring two goals.
Nebraska took a commanding 4-0 lead at the break and never looked back.
Last season, the Huskers ended the year ranked No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches poll, finishing in the Elite Eight for the first time since 1999.
Next up, the Huskers travel to Oklahoma on Friday at 7 p.m. for their second and final exhibition game.
