Huskers finish 3-1 in Arkansas

Fayetteville, Ark. (Nebraska Athletics) – The Nebraska softball team split a pair of games Saturday to finish with a 3-1 record at the Razorback Rumble, hosted by the University of Arkansas. The Huskers fell to Saint Francis, 6-3, in eight innings in the first game Saturday before rebounding with an impressive 5-1 victory over South Alabama in the second game.

Kaylin Kinney went 3-0 with a 0.98 ERA in 14.1 innings at the Razorback Rumble, while seven Huskers hit .333 or better at the tournament. Sydney Gray batted .385 with three home runs on the weekend after a 3-for-4 day with a double and two home runs against South Alabama. Billie Andrews was 6-for-16 (.429) at the Razorback Rumble with two doubles and a home run to extend her hitting streak to 17 games.

Nebraska returns home on Tuesday for a pair of games against Northern Colorado (Noon) and Maine (5 p.m.). Attendance for both games is free, as the games were a late add to the Husker schedule last week.
