Huskers hope depth can bolster linebacker position
The Nebraska football team must replace two starters across four positions.
LINCOLN – It seems like a familiar refrain: Nebraska must improve its run defense.
After ranking fourth-to-last in the Big Ten in 2019, the Huskers know the responsibility falls on every level of the defense – but perhaps none more than the linebacking corps.
Needing to replace two starters and break in a new position coach, the remaining 13 spring practices – whenever they may come – are likely most important for a young linebacker group, albeit one that’s stockpiled with young talent.
